This programme is to provide learners with the skills and understanding in human resource management (HRM) that align with good strategic decision making to maintain organisations’ competitive advantage.
Learners acquire knowledge through an integrated approach of theory in human resource management and practice using real-time activities. Successful completion of this qualification will develop learners’ strategic human resource management and leadership skills and their ability to focus on the requirements of implementing an organisation’s strategy.

Course Overview
Diploma in Human Resource Management (HRM) offers learners without prior experience the knowledge and skills they need to be operationally effective in a career in the Human Resource Management field. For those learners that have prior experience in Human Resource Management and who also possess a professional qualification, the pathway through this programme will develop their professional competence.
Progression Pathway
This pathway consists of two stages:

Stage 1: Diploma in Human Resource Management

Stage 2: MA in Human Resource Management from University of Northampton or University of Worcester.
Successful completion of the Stage 1 Diploma will enable direct entry onto the Stage 2 Top-Up programme.

‘Dissertation and Research Methods’
(4-6 months)
For entry onto the Stage 1 Diploma applicants will typically posses:

A UK Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent and two years managerial work experience OR;

At least five years managerial work experience (evaluated on an individual basis) AND;
-
A good command of English (equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above)
